Chamonix
Nestled amongst some of the highest peaks in the Alps, including the highest of them all – Mont Blanc, Chamonix is a mountain resort famous for skiing and hiking. Climb up to the spectacular Mer de Glace aboard the Montenvers cog railway line or take one of the highest cable cars in the world up to the Aiguille du Midi at 3842 metres above sea level.
