DAY 1 - PARIS 

Welcome to Paris! On arrival at the airport head to your hotel for a two-night stay, then head out to explore the city with your Paris Pass. Make use of the Hop-on Hop-off bus to see neighbourhoods such as the beautiful Marais, historic St Germain or the evocative hill of Montmartre from where you can see the famous Sacré-Cœur and a spectacular view across Paris (Overnight Paris)

 

DAY 2 - PARIS 

Perhaps head out to Versailles today and marvel and the grand palace and equally as beautiful fountains and gardens.  If not, make good use of our included Pass to visit the spectacular Opera Garnier, or your pre-booked time slot for The Louvre Museum. Head to the Eiffel tower from where you can enjoy a cold glass of Champagne aboard a one-hour cruise along the river. DAY 3 - DIJON 

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel, then head over to Gare de Lyon for the short TGV journey to Dijon. On arrival make your way to your hotel and check-in for a two-night stay, then head out to discover this great city.  Pay a visit to the fascinating Grand Palace of the Dukes of Burgundy today to marvel at the Duchy's riches perhaps, or the excellent Museum of Fine Art located in another 14th-century palace. Enjoy some hearty Boeuf?Bourguignon for dinner. DAY 4 - DIJON 

Get your bearings around this historic city centre this morning and see if you can search out The Magic Owl of Dijon, (the unofficial lucky charm of the city) before leaving the city in the afternoon on a small group wine tasting tour. Head into the rolling hills for a visit to two local winery's and sample some of the wine which makes this area famous, including a selection of Premier Cru red and whites. Head back to Dijon and enjoy your evening. (Overnight Dijon) B

 

DAY 5 - LYON 

Stock up on a jar of Dijon mustard poured from the tap and a bottle of Pinot Noir or two before hoping on a train down the Rhone valley to Lyon, then head to your hotel for a two-night stay.  This evening explore ‘Vieux-Lyon' with its charming mix of cobbled streets, boutique shops, local restaurants and wine bars.  (Overnight Lyon) B 

 

DAY 6 - LYON 

Embark on a three-hour food tour led by a local this morning, and discover some delicious traditional dishes paired with some local wines. You will come away with a full belly as well as a better understanding of French culture and history!  In the afternoon perhaps a scenic cruise along the Rhone or Saone rivers?  (Overnight Lyon) B 

 

DAY 7 - END OF TOUR 

After breakfast there's time for some last-minute souvenir shopping, before heading to the station for your train back to Paris where your vacation ends.  Speak to any of our Rail Specialists about extending your travels elsewhere. B

Le Marceau Bastille

Le Marceau Bastille Hotel is a contemporary design hotel with a choice of 55 urban or ecological style bedrooms.
