Daily Itinerary:

DAY 1 – JOHANNESBURG TO CRADLE OF MANKIND GAUTENG
Once you arrive in Johannesburg, your private transfer will greet you and take you to your boutique hotel for a two-night stay. Maropeng Hotel is located in Gauteng, South Africa. Set in the historically and culturally significant Cradle of Humankind, you can experience stunning views of the Witwaterberg and Magaliesberg mountain ranges as well as enjoy exploring the Sterkfontein Caves. (Overnight in Gauteng)

DAY 2 – CRADLE OF MANKIND
Why not enjoy your day of leisure by taking advantage of the hotel amenities? These include free-Wi-Fi, tea, coffee making equipment, and room service. Sit on your outdoor patio enjoying the view, delight in some casual dining at the hotel restaurant, or relax and have drinks at the bar. There is also a pristine outdoor pool if you’re interested in a swim.

DAY 3 – CRADLE OF MANKIND TO PRETORIA ONBOARD THE BLUE TRAIN
After lunch, you will be transferred to Pretoria where you can enjoy pre-departure drinks and snacks whilst meeting other travellers ready to depart on the Blue Train. The train departs at 4:00 p.m. leaving you time to freshen up for dinner. (Overnight onboard the Blue Train) B, D

DAY 4 – THE BLUE TRAIN
Enjoy breakfast before disembarking at Kimberley station, where you will be transferred to the 19th-century Kimberley Mine Museum. This diamond mine is one of the best open-air museums in the world. Take in the historical sights and then make your way toward the renowned Big Hole, which tells the intriguing story of its Victorian heyday.  When you return to Kimberley, you'll be greeted with an engraved glass of sherry, which is yours to keep as a memento. Back onboard, the train departs for Cape Town and aperitifs are served in the lounge before a sit-down lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy the passing scenery as high tea is served. DAY 5 – CAPE TOWN
Arrive in Cape Town around mid-morning. You'll be picked up from the arrivals lounge and transferred to your hotel, which is set in the heart of cosmopolitan Sea Point. The Hyde is ready to wrap you in wall-to-wall chic and a luxurious style all its own.  Cape Town’s newest hotspot caters to your most discerning needs by delivering the small things that make the big differences. After checking in, your host and guide offers an educational, fun experience encompassing inspiring insights into the Cape Malay culture in Bo-Kaap from a culinary perspective. Zainie will entertain you with stories of the food and culture of Bo-Kaap whilst cooking up a storm in her kitchen. In the cooking class, you will discover the secrets of mixing masala, making dhaltjies (chilli bites), preparing and folding samoosas, making and frying rootis and learning the traditional way to cook a mouth-watering Cape Malay Curry, which you’ll get to taste during a sit-down lunch.  (Overnight in Cape Town) B, L

DAY 6 – CAPE TOWN
A transfer is provided to Robbin Island, which was made famous by Nelson Mandela’s imprisonment. After exploring the island, you will board The Alba Restaurant Boat for a one-of-a-kind dining experience. (Overnight in Cape Town) B, L

DAY 7 – CAPE TOWN TO CEDERBERG
Next stop is Cederberg and the Kagga Kamma Nature Reserve nestled in the peaceful Cederberg mountains. The reserve is renowned for its scenic beauty and dramatic rock formations. With a rich and fascinating cultural heritage, this area offers spectacular scenery, ancient rock art sites, amazing indigenous fauna and flora, phenomenal night skies, and wildlife that is scarcely seen in other parts of the country. The San and Khoi people lived at Kagga Kamma many years ago and today guests can see traces of their existence in the unique rock art that dates back 1200-6000 years. The unique accommodation options add to the sense of adventure. Choose between a cave suite that is beautifully integrated with the sandstone rock formations or a spacious hut suite that resembles the traditional dwellings inhabited by the people who occupied this land many years ago. DAY 9 – CEDERBERG TO TULBAGH
Your visit to Tullabagh, in the Western Cape winelands, has the highest concentration of national monuments in South Africa. Upon arrival at your hotel, which is set in the vineyards, a sincere welcome awaits you. Your stay is all about food, wine, and relaxing pleasure. A free wine tasting is included. DAY 10 – TULBAGH TO PATERNOSTER
The final stop of this amazing trip is the charming fishing village of Paternoster, a great place for a seaside escape, with its historical buildings, warm hospitality, and beautiful views. It also has several quaint restaurants serving fresh seafood. Dolphins and whales can be spotted off the coast for 10 months of the year and the striking Cape Columbine Nature Reserve is located just three kilometres away. DAY 11 – PATERNOSTER
West Coast National Park is today’s excursion, located a short distance inland from Saldanha Bay. This place is not only a paradise for birds, but also for everyone who visits. The beauty of the brilliant blue waters of the Langebaan Lagoon, unspoilt golden beaches, sheltered islands, and salt marshes add to the park’s allure. In springtime, rainbow-coloured flowers cover the sand, while antelopes gather in the unique Postberg section. It is a bird-watching haven, with over 300 recorded avian species. Visitors can also enjoy cycling, hiking, picnicking, whale watching (August to November), game-viewing, kayaking and other water sports. (Overnight in Paternoster) B

DAY 12 – END OF TOUR
After a leisurely breakfast, you will be transferred to Cape Town Airport where your tour concludes. B
