DAY 1 – ARRIVE IN EDINBURGH
Arrive in Edinburgh today and check in at your hotel for a three-night stay. Settle in before setting out to explore the capital of Scotland! From the cobbled streets of the medieval Old Town to the sweeping views from the top of the many hills, there is so much beauty to explore here. (Overnight in Edinburgh)

DAY 2 – EDINBURGH
Today see the best of medieval yet modern Edinburgh on this walking tour with optional skip-the-line access to Edinburgh Castle. As you walk, listen as your guide shares the history of this formidable city with ancient Roman roots and UNESCO-listed pockets. Explore atmospheric cobbled walkways along the Royal Mile, breeze into Edinburgh Castle to witness royal opulence, and pass iconic locations like St. Giles Cathedral, Parliament Square, and John Knox House. DAY 3 – EDINBURGH
Enjoy a leisurely morning before joining your secret food tour wear comfy shoes as this is a three-hour tour where you will see and taste lots of Scottish local dishes finished off with a few local drinks. DAY 4 – EDINBURGH TO INVERNESS
Catch the train from Edinburgh to Inverness today, riding the rails through the wonderful scenery of Scotland into the Highlands. Arrive in Inverness, on the northeast coast of the country, and check in at your hotel for a three-night stay. Known as the ‘gateway to the Highlands,’ Inverness boasts an abundance of culture, history and an Old Town, home to the 19th-century Inverness Cathedral. (Overnight in Inverness) B, L

DAY 5 – INVERNESS
Today you have a free day of leisure to explore the delights of Inverness and the surrounding area. (Overnight in Inverness) B

DAY 6 – INVERNESS
After an early start, travel along the Great Glen Fault Line towards Loch Ness. Here, you have a chance to spot the monster and admire lovely Castle Urquhart from afar. Next continue through dramatic Highland scenery to the west coast and Eilean Donan Castle ‘the most photographed castle in Scotland’. And now, it’s the moment you’ve been waiting for. Because it’s over the sea and onto the Isle of Skye. You will travel up the island’s east coast through the stunning Red Cuillin Mountains to Sligachan, where you stop for a photo of the clear mountain waters. Arriving in the town of Portree, you have free time to grab a bite to eat at one of the many delightful local restaurants. After you’ve filled your belly, you explore some of the most famous scenery of the island at the Trotternish Peninsula. The Old Man of Storr, Kilt Rock, and the Quiraing are all unforgettably beautiful. You venture to Kyleakin for refreshments and a chance to view the dramatic ruin Castle Moil or the Skye Bridge and Eilean Ban. Travelling over the bridge, you journey back to Inverness. The route you take back is different from the morning, so you get even more opportunities to enjoy the Highland scenery.  (Overnight in Inverness) B

DAY 7 – INVERNESS TO EDINBURGH
Check out of your hotel in Inverness after breakfast this morning and spend a little more time exploring, if you like. Catch the train back to Edinburgh and check in at your hotel for an overnight stay. Be sure to visit any sights in the Scottish capital that are still on your ‘to do’ list! DAY 8 – YOUR JOURNEY ENDS IN EDINBRUGH
