DAY 1 - ZURICH
Arrive in Zurich today and check in for a two-night stay at your hotel. Zurich is Switzerland's most cosmopolitan and elegant city, situated on the banks of the River Limmat. Spend the evening by the lake in the old town district of Niederdorf, famous for its bars, restaurants, lounges and fashion shops. (Overnight in Zurich)

DAY 2 - ZURICH
After breakfast this morning, continue to enjoy discovering Zurich. The city is home to an impressive number of art galleries and museums, among which are the Swiss National Museum and the Kunsthaus. Nature-lovers should head to the Botanical Garden, admire the range of exotic plants and beautiful trees in this tranquil area. (Overnight in Zurich) B

DAY 3 - ZURICH TO SALZBURG
After breakfast this morning, take the train through the Swiss and Austrian Alps over the Arlberg Pass. This spectacular journey leaves Zurich, travelling along the bank of Lake Zurich before you are greeted with spectacular Alpine scenery. You briefly pass through Liechtenstein before entering Austria. Travel along the Arlberg Pass, through mountain meadows and be delighted at every turn by the wonderful vistas. Upon arrival in Salzburg, check in for a two-night stay at your hotel. (Overnight in Salzburg) B

DAY 4 - SALZBURG
Spend the day enjoying the sights of Salzburg. Head for the old town looking over the Salzach River, with its cobbled streets of little shops and famous hilltop castle, known as the Festung Hohensalzburg. (Overnight in Salzburg) B

DAY 5 - SALZBURG TO VIENNA
After breakfast, travel by train to Vienna. Upon arrival, check in for a three-night stay at your hotel. Spend the rest of the day strolling around Vienna, perhaps taking a horse and cart ride around the inner ring and becoming acquainted with this architecturally inspiring city. DAY 6 - VIENNA
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel this morning and begin another day of exploration. Why not see a performance at the Spanish Riding School - one of the oldest riding schools in the world and home to the famous Lipizzaner horses. Vienna also sits on the banks of the Danube, the perfect spot for a scenic boat cruise! If you are interested in history, follow in the footsteps of the Habsburgs with a visit to the baroque Belvedere and Schönbrunn Palaces. (Overnight in Vienna) B

DAY 7 - VIENNA
Why not catch an opera or concert today at Vienna's celebrated buildings dedicated to the world of music. With over 500 concerts a year at Musikverein (Vienna's concert hall), there will surely be something for every taste! Perhaps indulge in the traditional Viennese 'coffee culture' at one of the many quirky cafés, and be sure to tuck into a slice of Sachertorte before departing. (Overnight in Vienna) B

DAY 8 - YOUR JOURNEY ENDS IN VIENNA
