DAY 1 BUDAPEST TO PRAGUE
Wave goodbye to Budapest today as you board your Eurocity train direct to Prague. On arrival, check in at your hotel for a two-night stay. Begin discovering this ancient, bohemian city with your 48-hour Prague Pass, perhaps making your way to a wonderful riverside restaurant, or take in an establishment around Wenceslas Square serving local dishes best washed down with local beer. (Overnight in Prague)

DAY 2 PRAGUE
After breakfast this morning, spend the day exploring Prague at your leisure. The Old Town square has been a hub of the city since the 10th Century and is dominated by the memorial to the influential 14th Century philosopher John Hus. The small maze of paths and alleys are full of wonderful shops and restaurants, and it's only a short walk to the impressive Charles Bridge. The climb to the top of the tower provides a great bird's eye view across this iconic Vltava river. On the western side of the river, walk around the colourful Lennon wall which acts as an ever-evolving memorial to the struggles of recent history and the run up to the Velvet Revolution and downfall of Communist power. The intriguing KGB museum is just a short walk from here and has a riveting collection of artefacts and stories from the dark past of this wonderful country. (Overnight in Prague) B

DAY 3 PRAGUE TO BERLIN
Today, make convenient use of your Prague Pass on the public transport to the station for your train to the German capital. The train route passes through Dresden - if you would like to make a brief stop here to check out the impressive Frauenkirche church, speak to one of our Rail Specialists who can help you make these arrangements. On arrival in Berlin, make your way to your hotel and check-in for a two-night stay. (Overnight in Berlin) B

DAY 4 BERLIN
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before exploring this vibrant city. It's hard to avoid the wall which not only divided this city, but the world just 30 years ago. Then stroll down Unter den Linden to the magnificent Brandenberg Gate. The impressive modern Reichstag building is also close by and worth a visit as is the serenity of the Green expanse of the Tiergarten. In the evening, enjoy dinner in the Mitte area, or venture down Berlin's Champs Elyses - The Kurfustendamm - and try Berlins' historic favourite combo, currywurst and champagne from one of the local kiosks. (Overnight in Berlin) B
