DAY 1 -ZURICH TO LUCERNE
Take the direct train to Lucerne and once you have arrived head over to your hotel for a 2-night stay. Spend the rest of your day exploring this beautiful small city which is very walkable. Stroll across the wooden Chapel Bridge and enjoy some dinner in Lucernes' idyllic old town. (Overnight Interlaken)
DAY 2 -MOUNT PILATUS DAY TRIP
Between May-Oct enjoy a cruise on lake Lucerne before taking the steepest rack railway in the world to the top of Mount Pilatus. Enjoy some spectacular views, easy walking trails and lunch perhaps before returning down the other side of the mountain via gondola and cable-car, which is the route up as well during the winter. DAY 3 -LUCERNE TO INTERLALKEN
Board the train at Lucerne station for a scenic ride along part of the Golden Pass line. These trains often run with panoramic windows, so you enjoy the wonderful views of numerous alpine lakes before passing through Meiringenand skirting Lake Brienz. On arrival in Interlaken check in for a 2-night stay, then why not take a scenic cruise on Lake Brienz or Lake Thun? Both are dotted with castles and regular stops allow passengers to hop on and off, making great use of your included Swiss Pass. (Overnight Interlaken) B
DAY 4 -JUNGFRAU DAY TRIP
Following breakfast make your way to the station for an amazing adventure. Take the train to the picturesque village of Lauterbrunnen and have your camera ready! Feel free to explore the village or hop on the very next train to Kleine Scheidegg, then the spectacular Jungfraubahn to the Jungfraujoch station, almost 3000m above sea level. Enjoy views of France, Germany, Italy and the Swiss Alps as well as the Aletsch Glacier before returning down the mountain by the way of thrilling cable-car past the north face of the Eiger and the pretty village of Grindelwald.
