Oban

Nestled on the West Coast of Scotland and surrounded by beautiful countryside and a dramatic shoreline, this peaceful, quaint seaside town offers a real sense of awe. Known as the ‘gateway to the isles’ it is just a short boat ride to the Inner Hebrides of Mull, Iona and Staffa and the town itself offers plenty to see and do, from castle ruins to it’s own take on a Roman amphitheatre. There is the promise of basking shark if you take a boat trip with a local guide and when it’s time to relax there are numerous award winning restaurants to choose from in this ‘Seafood Capital of Scotland’.
