After breakfast, depart Geneva in the morning and travel to Verona on one of the most scenic routes in Europe, the Simplon Pass. Relax while the train follows the shores of Lake Leman and across Swiss vineyards, with stunning views of the Alps in the background. Travel further south after crossing the border into Italy to Milan, and on to Verona. Travel down through high mountain passes, wide green valleys and alpine villages perched precariously on the hillsides. Upon arrival in Verona, check in at your hotel for a two-night stay. Spend a full day exploring Verona, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Full of magic from the glory days of the Roman Empire, Verona is an Italian gem; brimming with stunning architecture, fine Italian delicacies and Shakespearean romance.
