Welcome to Hanoi you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. The rest of today is free for you to explore (overnight Hanoi)

This morning's visit is to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (outside only) and the former President’s stilt house. Continue visiting the iconic One-Pillar Pagoda and the History Museum. Then you have some free time for lunch before your afternoon visit to the Temple of Literature, Ngoc Son Temple and Hoan Kiem Lake. Then at 4pm meet up with your guide and set out for an exciting food walk to seek and find Ha Noi delectable street food.  Start first with a cold glass of Bia Hoi, popular draft beer, try a bowl of noodle soup, locally known as Bun Thang. Next to Quan Goc Da to enjoy Bánh G?i (Pillow shaped crispy dumplings) and the delicately made fish sauce then stop by Bánh M? Lãn Ông stand, selling thin baguette styled bread with pate. Finally try the colourful and flavourful varieties of O Mai (Salted or Sugared Dried Fruits) in Hang Duong (Sweet) street. (Overnight Hanoi) B

Today you drive to Long Bien railway station for the day train from Hanoi to Hai Phong, upon arrival you will be transferred to Got Pier for your night cruise on Lan Ha Bay. Once on board enjoy a savoury lunch.  Your cruise passes the islands of Con Vit and Gia Luan. These amazing lime stone structures rise out of the sea in an impressive manner. Learn about the local fisherman and take a ride in a coracle the small fishing boats they use. Alternatively, you can enjoy some kayaking or simply just have a swim. During winter you can take a guided cycling tour to Viet Hai village, and visit an ancient local house, made from straw, mud and bamboo. Back onboard and enjoy happy hour and a cooking class on the deck. (Overnight onboard) B L D

Start the day with a Tai Chi class on the sundeck. After breakfasting your cruise comes to an end. Return to Hai Phong where you will be transferred to Hanoi. In Hanoi you can take a panoramic cycle tour around the Old Quarter and drop by Thang Long theatre to enjoy the famous Water Puppet Show, a unique Vietnamese traditional art. The rest of the day is free leisure time before you take the night train to Danang. (Overnight onboard train) B

Picnic breakfast on board train, once you have arrived in Danang you will transfer to Hoian to have lunch at a local restaurant before checking into your hotel. Then an afternoon walking tour of Hoi An to discover the historic town which used to be a prosperous seaport city during the 16th to 18th centuries. Visit Hoi An’s colourful local market, Tan Ky old house, Fukien Assembly Hall, and the 400-year-old Japanese covered bridge. Travellers can also see residents raise silkworms and produce silk for Hoi An's growing textile industry. (Overnight in Hoian) B

Free time this morning for a leisurely breakfast before you catch your late morning train (Overnight onboard train) B

Early arrival in Ho Chi Minh, pick up at Saigon (old name of Ho Chi Minh city) railway station then transfer straight to your hotel for an early check in with breakfast. You have the option to take part in the “Half day gourmet tour” Which includes a visit to the local market where the Chef chooses the fresh ingredients. Continue to the cooking class and learn to cook three dishes in a very hands-on manner under his instruction. (Menu is varied depending on the day). After the class, can enjoy what you have cooked. A complimentary dessert and free flow of mineral water, "Tra da" (green iced tea) will be on offer. In the afternoon eenjoy an outside photo tour stopping at Reunification Palace, the beautiful Central Post Office, Opera House, City Hall (Overnight Ho Chi Minh) B

Breakfast at your hotel and then you have free time until your arranged transfer back to the airport where your tour concludes. B
